⚠️ New Application Rules You MUST Know

SSC has implemented significant changes this year:

1. One-Time Registration (OTR) Mandatory
SSC has started a new One-Time Registration system on its updated website. Candidates who have not yet completed OTR registration will be able to apply only after completing it.

2. Live Photo Capture – Big Change!
Now you will NOT upload a pre-saved photo. Your photo will be captured live via webcam or through the official SSC App. Keep these things in mind:

  • Look straight ahead in the photo
  • Background should be light or white
  • Proper lighting is essential

3. Preview Before Submit
Check the preview of your application before final submission. Correction fees apply if you make mistakes:

  • First correction: ₹200
  • Second correction: ₹500

⏱️ NEW Sectional Timing Pattern – IMPORTANT

SSC has introduced strict sectional timers for both Tier-I and Tier-II. Each section will automatically close once its time limit is reached. Candidates must qualify in each section separately.

Tier-I Sectional Timing (Total: 1 Hour)

For candidates with scribes: 1 hour 20 minutes total, with 20 minutes per section.

  • Section-I (Mathematical Abilities + Reasoning): 1 hour total (30 min each)
  • Section-II (English Language + General Awareness): 1 hour total (40 min English + 20 min GA)
  • Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test): 15 minutes

Session-II

  • Section-IV (Data Entry Speed Test – DEST): 15 minutes

Papers-II and III (for specific posts)

  • Paper-II (Statistics): 2 hours
  • Paper-III (General Studies – Finance and Economics): 2 hours

Important Note: In Paper-I of Tier-II, sections will automatically close once their respective time limits are reached, and the next part will begin immediately.
